Stuart Hedley will lead an exercise in plant ID revision on diverse mown grassland - both wet and dry. Beginners and improvers welcome.

Stuart Hedley will lead a training session to improve wild plant ID skills on this fascinating site supported by Sue Holland and Peter Garner.

Detective work with a quadrat -  we will use sampling to help us understand site history and geology. and we'll work with guests from the Worcestershire Pollinator Group in an exercise on wet and dry areas to revise and improve ID skills on this diverse, mown grassland.  All skill levels welcome.

Picnic lunch provided. Please brink own drinks.

  • drinking water
  • wet weather gear / sun protection
  • kneeling pads as necessary
  • hand lens and clip board if available - we will have some basic hand lenses for sale or to borrow.

    • can ID some plants in flower

    • can ID leaves without flowers
