Hedge laying training weekend with Martin Hales

This very practical course allows you to learn and practice the traditional craft of hedge laying using hand tools to produce a stock proof, environmentally friendly and sustainable field boundary.
Martin Hales has many years’ experience in environmental training and woodland management including running successful hedge laying courses at Holme Lacy College.
Course Content also includes:
History of hedge laying Hand tools and their safe use
Hedge laying styles and ongoing maintenance Staking and finishing off

Bring your own packed lunch and drinks on both days
Wear suitable clothing and boots for outdoor work ie in a hedgerow on a muddy field.
All tools needed will be supplied – but please bring any handsaws, billhooks, light axes, or thorn proof thick gloves that you are used to using and have been kept in good condition.
