20 people spent a glorious afternoon at Will and Jenny Bulloughs meadow in Clifford brushing up plant ID skills and learning a simple way of assessing grassland quality in 10 easy steps.  Stuart Hedley led the Group in a training session in the field and a discussion about meadow assessment and enhancement methods over tea afterwards. There is a monitoring sheet for rapid ID assessment for those wishing to use the technique on their own meadows, for Mid Tier Stewardship grassland assessment or to monitor the effects of management.
