A chance to discover the science behind healthy soils and practical tips on how your grassland can benefit. What is soil? How do you tell if it's healthy and what can you do to improve biological activity, soil structure and other aspects of soil health?
The farm includes arable land, arable reversion to hay meadow, permanent grassland and parkland, flower rich field margins and short term grass leys. Kate's Nuffield Scholarship about " farmers' passion for preserving soil" has provided insight into how and why we all need to love our soils.
