We are excited to announce that Herefordshire Meadows has been selected to participate in the Big Give – Green Match Fund 2024 campaign, meaning that for one week starting at midday on Thursday 18th April, any donations received by Herefordshire Meadows through our Big Give campaign page will be matched by the Green Match Fund!
If you have ever considered donating to Herefordshire Meadows to show your appreciation for management advice, restoration work, meadow seed, or training you have received, this April 18th to 25th is the time to do so, as your donation will be worth twice as much!
We are hoping to raise £5,000 in donations that week, for our For the Love of Meadows in Herefordshire campaign, which thanks to Big Give would amount to a total of £10,000 to spend on a series of free events, training sessions and workshops, all aimed at inspiring better understanding, management and preservation of meadows in Herefordshire.
If you love meadows and want to support our work this year, please save the date in your diary and remember to donate via our campaign page hosted by Big Give between midday on Thursday 18th April and midday on Thursday 25th April, to ensure that your donation is doubled.
Donations can be via debit or credit card, or apple or google pay. And for generous donations of over £500 BACS bank transfer is also an option (Donors paying via BACS are advised to set this up as soon as possible during the campaign week, as the transfer can take some time. Only transfers received before midday on 25th April will be matched).

- 178 acres of wildflower meadows restored at 24 landholdings, including 17 acres of floodplain meadow.
- 27 additional landowners visited to provide 1-to-1 grassland management advice.
- 54 people upskilled at grassland survey, monitoring and management training days.
- 37 land managers, farmers and advisers engaged at floodplain management events.
- 160+ people inspired at Herefordshire Meadows events, meadow walks, and discussions.
- 10+ specialists provided inspiring talks to landowners, farmers and meadow enthusiasts at Herefordshire Meadows events.
