Moseley Common (now enclosed) is an SSSI on the Norman family farm. It is a 12 acre area of wet meadow and bog that has been known to naturalists since the C19. Although under-drained during WW2 it has never really been reclaimed for farming. During the last 3 years more than 250 species of plant have been identified, many rare in Herefordshire. A license has been obtained from Natural England to mow part of it (and collect seeds) to spread (strew) on an adjacent small field to attempt to expand the area.
Come and see the SSSI, collect some seed and help to spread in the 'new field'. Also hear about a parallel Facilitation Fund project running on the Curl Brook that runs through the SSSI.
