Grass ID Training day led by Stuart Hedley – what’s that grass and what are my livestock eating ?

An opportunity to look in detail at the identification features of this fascinating but challenging group

From 14:00 until 17:00

At Parsonage Farm, Wellington, Hereford, HR4 8AJ

On Monday 4th July we will be running a beginners Grass ID training day led by County Botanical Recorder, Stuart Hedley at Parsonage Farm, Wellington, courtesy of Lyn and Richard Langford. We will be looking at the range of grasses that can be found on a typical Herefordshire farm where there has been some diversification.

Please bring: 

  • Own drinking water
  • Own refreshments – time from 1.30 to 2.00 on arrival to eat own lunch with other participants if you’d like to
  • wet weather gear / sun protection
  • kneeling pads as necessary
  • hand lens - you can order one now – details on Meadows website (we have a few available to borrow if necessary)
  • note-book, clip board if available.
  • any plant ID guides that you have
