This for farmers in the Meadow Making pilot and for anyone who can help monitor one of these 18 sites across Herefordshire in 2019 and as the meadows establish in future years.

Rapid-method grassland assessment training with Stuart Hedley plus Sue Holland and Peter Garner. A session for not quite beginners and improvers to brush up broad leaved plant ID skills in the field and to master a simple rapid monitoring technique for 2019 survey.

When booking please tell us your current skill level (a) complete beginner (b) can ID some plants in flower (c) can ID most plants in flower (d) can ID leaves without flowers

Please bring

• x10 or x 15 hand lens and clip board ( we will have some basic hand lenses for sale or to borrow)

• wet weather gear / sun protection

• kneeling pads as necessary - we are out in the field for the whole session 

• drinking water or flask 

Park near farm buildings next to green with bench. Packed lunch provided. Please bring drinks. Added bonus of wet grassland plant ID in adjacent field when the quadrat exercise is complete
