Swards for the Future

Over 80 people attended Herefordshire Meadows Forum to hear a range of speakers on the subject of Swards for the Future. This was a wonderfully positive day focussing on why and how we can manage diverse swards on farms and smallholdings. Herefordshire Meadows Group members Lucinda Lewis and Julian Partridge talked about the steps they are taking on their farms, Luppo Diepenbroek talked about the nutritional benefits of herbal leys and how to manage them, Rob Havard on Profiting from Native Pasture, Paul Muto on managing the native seed resource and Suzanne Noble on Herefordshire’s road side verges.

With thanks to everyone who came along, gave a talk or set up a stand to provide so much excellent discussion and networking plus ideas for the future of Herefordshire Meadows and our swards across the county.
