25Jul2017

Herefordshire Meadows visit Lugg Mills to see floodplain meadow restoration in action

At Lugg Mills accessed via Lugg Bridge Farm, HR1 3NB

A great chance to see and discuss floodplain meadow enhancement techniques at first hand courtesy of Herefordshire Wildlife Trust.  The work should be partly completed (weather permitting) and Sophie Cowling, Lugg Living Landscape Project Officer, will be leading the visit. The techniques discussed will be useful to anyone considering meadow enhancement with green hay, seed or plant plugs.

CAR PARKING VERY LIMITED SO BOOKING AND CAR SHARING IS ESSENTIAL.

The site is on the east bank of the Lugg and is accessible from Lugg Bridge Farm HR1 3NB (grid ref SO534418).

Turn off at black “Straw and Hay” sign on A465.  There is space for 10 cars only.

If you are arriving with less than 3 people in your vehicle please let us know when booking.
