Workshop on trees and shelterbelts on farms
From 15:30 until 17:30
At Risbury Court HR6 ONG courtesy of Richard Thomas
This event will be of interest to anyone outwintering livestock who would like to discuss the theory and practicalities of trees and shelterbelts on farms and how these can support and enhance grasslands and grazing systems.
We are delighted to be joined by Sam Hollick (Bangor University) who will discuss some of the findings from his PhD work entitled ‘Optimising landscape shelterbelts to sustainably increase farm livestock productivity’.
This will be followed by a walk to see the new 'living barn' project being trialled by host Richard Thomas.
Refreshments will be provided. Please let us know of any dietary requirements/ allergies when booking.
Numbers are limited and if oversubscribed we will prioritise those considering how to manage tree and grassland mosaics with grazing livestock, and can be made by sending an email to bookings@herefordshireruralhub.co.uk.
